Rhino's are faster than Squirrels.

Greetings Parental Units!! We are already half way into the month of November, that’s crazy to me!! The older I get the faster time seems to fly. Our topic this month has been FREEDOM. What is it? How do you get it? How do you keep it? The first week I spoke about accepting the Freedom that Christ has given us as Christians. Often times, like a dog who doesn’t realize he’s been unchained, we sit under the same bondage we always have without embracing and walking in the Freedom of Christ.

This Week I spoke about getting Freedom from the fear of failure, fear of the unknown & just fear in general. Jesus desires that we live a life of faith. Faith demands that we walk and even run fearlessly towards the unknown. A Rhino can run 30 mph! That’s actually faster than a squirrel which can run 26 mph (there’s a mental picture for ya). What’s interesting is a rhino can only see 31 feet in front itself. Can you imagine running 30 mph while only being able to see 31 feet ahead?! It paints a great picture of the faith we as Christians must have in our lives.

Don’t forget! FlipSide is cancelled on November 21 and will resume on the 28th. We will however be having our first FlipSide Turkey Bowl on Saturday, November 24th. We’ll be playing Flag Football and Baggo while grilling burgers and hot dogs. The event will take place from 1-4pm at the home of the Forstner family. Bring your teen, a friend & $5.
