Parents,
I hope you all are doing excellent and your Valentines Day went romantically well. We cancelled FlipSide allowing our faithful staff to spend the holiday with their other halves.
Things are going well with our youth. They are continuing to grow in the Lord and I am continuing to grow in my heart for them. I am daily reminded that I am in the right place at an incredible time in the history of FlipSide and The ROCK. I enjoyed watching last Sunday as several of the teens came down front to break free in worship during Eddie James' ministry. There is nothing quite like seeing young people break free in worship.
I strongly believe that our youth are coming into a season of understanding the destiny they all have in common... Knowing God. The Lord has been showing me for some time now the importance of getting back to the basics of simply falling in love with Him. Above all else, I believe now is the time for our teens to establish a firm foundation for their faith. Before they can have the confidence they need to confront this world, they must know the God they serve.
Next week at FlipSide, I'm going to take the teenagers outside for a bonfire. I expect it to be a great time of intimate acoustic worship, getting to know God, hanging out, and stomping out flaming marshmallows.
I look forward to watching the Lord reveal Himself to our youth in unimagineable ways. I also look forward to bringing great reports to you, the parents, who labor tirelessly to see your young people grow up Godly.
With Love,
Matthew
